Appreciate the light

Learn to appreciate the light around you
Before the sun sets dark
Before you leave this world
Make sure you leave your mark
Light is always there to assist
It's your negative thoughts that resist
Come out of your dark sphere
Voila, then your bright future is near
Learn to appreciate the light around you
Before the Sun set's dark
Before the light goes
Make sure you ignite your spark

PS: Writing after a long time.. feeling good

Sunday, 8 July 2012

Today  I woke up at 4 am.. and decided I need to write this...

After dinner dad just sat beside me and exclaimed.. "Preeti.. what is it that your doing with your life??.. Whenever i see you home at weekend, you are busy with your laptop.. are you studying something... because what i am observing is that your activities are restricted .
With these words a sharp guilty emotion ran in my mind.. yea dad is correct. I am on laptop and  I realised i am addicted to facebook and orkut... I post something.. then i wait  for people to reply and if they dont reply, i again login and check.. infact even when i go out with friends i click pics just to post them on facebook.. This is just a shallow thinking... i mean why am i meeting friends?? to connect with them personally.. there is no point in virtual connection... only person to person connection in real world matters...
I recently also experienced one wierd case on social networking site.., one guy friend of my friend had sent me friends request... seeing him as my friend(my cousin) friend, I accepted  his friends request... This guy was a weirdo.. he saw my pics and decided that he wants to get married to me.. i even cautioned him saying.. dude you have just seen my pics.. and that's enough for you??.. we haven't me.. we haven't spoken.. but no he was hell bent.. saying.. "Preets you are gorgeous( yea yea i know about that.. tell me something i dont know..:P)...and i want you as my life partner"...i wanted to shout on him.."Dude have you seen yourself??.. what on earth makes you think i will get married to you"??.. but being ever sensitive soul that i am .. i  told him that i am engaged and getting married... still that guy was adamant .. so finally i blocked him... and story got over( i hope so)...
Point of me sharing this story is that i am wasting my glorious time with such cheapos.. when i should be investing my time for my glorious future.. "Preets , god only spoke taking dad as medium"... yea this was the precise thing that is ringing in mind since i slept.. so i  woke up with a promise that.. "Reduce the amount of time that you spend on social networking, increase your skills"..

As one of my warrior friend rightly says.. "Value time so that time values you"... isnt it true??...
Time to logoff and get on with my fitness routine... see you... and yea utilize your time wisely.. it's so less already  and lot many things to accomplish before the story ends...

Final Destination

Final destination of life is death... I just realized today.. everything we do over here is so temporary and only thing permanent is the final destination.
So live every moment of your life to the fullest.. and dont have any regrets... make your parents smile and take care of them.. and make something of yourself...

Stranger or Messanger

Few weeks ago.. i got a chance to meet  a very inspiring and optimistic lady....How i met her, and how she inspired me is whole together diffrent story...

I had lost my purse on my way to mumbai and i totally gave up on it, thinking who would possibly return the purse which was loaded with money, atm card??.. Just like anybody who would have reacted , i called the customer care and blocked the card, but lady luck was shining on me brightly as she always does, next morning i got a call from ATS chief and i got my purse back... This story is not that important , as important for me to share that the journey to get my purse back would actually turn out to be the best journey i have undertaken till date...
I was on my way back home after taking the purse, that i met this lady on train. I had poured myself wholly inside the newspaper, when i heard her tell me.."Child , why are you pouring yourself inside the newspaper, you would get spectacles"... she was obviously oblivious to the fact that i was wearing contact lens, i told her this with a sheepish smile, and thus the conversation continued... she had the ability to put anybody at ease...and  with such ease, you risk the chance of pouring your heart out...i did just that.. she listened patiently to my story ( what i told her , i will tell later, but what she advised me is worth thinking)... she said in a calm and mature tone.." Child you know, there are many people, who face many adversities, you can not avoid adversity, and sometimes adversities bring you out from your own selfish confines and you wake up.. you see the world with diffrent light.. You are lucky that your adversity is over, and you got a chance to begin anew.. not many get this.. what you got to do now is "Be awake and make a diffrence... this is one lifetime.. achieve your goals and be of some use to people who dont get a chance"... This quote is ringing in my ears till today, and i am definetly working on what she said...
Who was she to me??.. How she met me on that train??.. and why only me she met??... are the questions only the lady luck can answer.. and I intent on working on that advice she gave me.

Strangers they say are danger
But i bed to differ
My stranger
turned out to be God's Messenger
taught me a valuable thing
Which i had forgotten for sure..
She put me on a mission
That is worth pursuing
I am thankful i met her
She was a stranger
but she turned out to be my messanger
I will never forget that journey on train
And i will make sure that message wont go in vain...

Down the memory lane...

Down in the memory lane
I was lost again…
Same memories, which gives nothing
Other than pain..
I was lost again.
Memories of some people,
Who were part of my life then
Now I just see them on communicator
Available with green light,
Shining bright,
But my Ego which is tight,
Doesn’t let me go and make the situation light.
I know I will never speak with them again…
I was lost again…
In the memory lane…..

Speak Out..

How important it is to speak out??...Very much, today i realised it.
Today morning had to go at the temple for attending Satyanarayan Mahapooja, my parents had gone ahead, and i was to join them later.
I was on my way to the temple , admiring the natures beauty @morning, when everything is so, serene and beautiful , i was thanking god for this beautiful morning, that suddenly one uncle came in front of me and stared at me from bottom -up  and uttered some oscenities(can't utter those words myself), and practically looked every bit like a roadside lecher. The uncle probably older than my father, was uttering those words to me and looking at me likethat, sent a wave of shock down my spine and i went back few years when i was in std 11 and the similar scene had taken place on my way to college and i had allowed that uncle(yea that guy was also an uncle), to humiliate me and mock my soul with such filthy words...  those words rang in my ear again.. and today i decided i wont let him go so easily....
That uncle had gone after uttering those words and i was standing there in shock, suddenly i decided, need to teach this lecher a lesson. I ran behind that uncle, called him out. Initially he was shocked, probably the first time his victim was approaching him and calling him out... he was not prepared for this, and not even prepared for what was going to happen next...
The victim had suddenly transformed as Rani Of Jhansi and looked in his eyes and uttered.." Yes uncle , what did you say, repeat"...
Trembling that uncle just repeated this.." I ... I.. didnt say anything"...
I looked him in his eyes and said calmly.." I know what you said.... Dont you dare repeat this with anybody , else the consequenses will be very bad"....
Now the tables were turned and it was his chance to be in shock and he went away...
I felt so good, standing up for myself and not letting anybody go away humiliating me . It's so very important to speak up, else the people in front of you think ,they can get away with any damn thing. No, stand up, get a spine and show them your metal.
